We don't have an Audi dealer in College Station so we headed to Houston to test drive one. Our salesman drove us to a park in Houston before he let us take over. At the park he showed us some of the features of the car including the emergency triangle in the trunk, the lights under the front seats that illuminate the back seat passenger footwells when the doors are open, the lights in the bottom of the doors that light up the ground when the doors are open, and the engine, which was hard to see through the new trend in covering engines with plastic.

I drove first and we headed back out of the park and down a highway. The steering felt very heavy, like I really needed to convince the car that yes, I did want to turn. The car itself felt heavy too, but the steering is what I really noticed. This model featured CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) which I don't care for. I don't mind transmissions shifting and find it very odd when engines don't shift. I kept thinking "when is it going to shift?" We drove around for a bit and then I switched and let Chris drive.

After the CVT we drove a 1.8t and then an Avant.
