The Headlight range control defective light came on today. That means my dynamic headlight range control system isn't working properly. I'm taking the car in Saturday to have it detailed; hopefully they can look at it then.

They also did a great job cleaning my car. The exterior wasn't as clean as if Chris has washed it, but the vacuuming job on the interior was awesome. They left vacuum stripes on every single piece of carpet in the car. Someone takes a lot of pride in their vacuuming.

10,000 mile service. Took the car to Momentum Audi in Houston. Their service advisor rushed the car since we had driven in and had no choice but to wait in the showroom for it (we live about 1.5 hours from Houston). When I got the car back, I was told it had been washed and vacuumed, but they hadn't actually vacuumed it. Hmm... I let the service advisor know just in case the cleaning guys were being lazy - an A8 customer probably wouldn't appreciate the fib.

The Homelink died and I had a rattle in one door. Had to leave the car there from Saturday through Tuesday to give them time to find the wiring problem. Here are the tech notes:
Green and white wire broken from T17 to control unit. Confirmed problem with home link. removed sun visor to check for power. No power at green and white wire at visor. Traced wiring. Removed bumper and cover and checked for power at door opener control unit. removed left front wheel and check continuity from black/red and green/white wires to T10 connector in a pillar. Removed headliner and checked continuity from T17 connector to control unit. Green/white wire broken from T17 to control unit. repaired wire at top of A pillar and retested. Ops to specs.
C/S right front speaker rattles when playing. Connector in door panel not stabilized. Stabilized connection in door panel.
I saw the total $399 on a piece of paper I signed, but there was no charge to me because it was all covered under warranty. Their labor charge is $99/hour.

I curbed one of the rims right after I bought the car last summer. To make a long story short, don't ever buy one of those silly wheel and tire warrantees - they're written in such a way that I doubt they ever pay for any claims. Anyway, dropped the wheel off on Saturday while they were looking for my wiring problem. I damaged two of the spokes pretty well.
My cost: $75
